Welcome to chatterbate.net (the “Platform”, “Site”, “we”, “us”). By visiting or using the Site you agree to these Terms of Use (the “Terms”). If you don’t agree, please leave the Site immediately.

1) Adults only (18+)

The Platform is strictly for consenting adults who have reached the age of majority in their location (18+ at minimum).
Anyone under the age of majority is forbidden from accessing or using the Platform. If you are underage, leave now.

Zero tolerance: We block and report suspected minors and any content or conduct involving minors to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and other relevant authorities. That includes “age-play,” depictions that make adults appear underage, discussion or solicitation of content involving minors, on- or off-platform.

2) What we are (and aren’t)

chatterbate.net is an online social / live-chat platform that lets adult users (“Community Members”) publish, stream, and interact via text, audio, video, and other content. Some Community Members may be eligible to receive in-platform tips (“Independent Broadcasters”).

We host user content; we do not produce broadcasts. Independent Broadcasters control when and how they stream, subject to these Terms and applicable law.

You may not use the Platform to advertise or promote competing live-streaming sites or arrange escort/pay-to-meet services, sell controlled substances, or run MLM schemes.

3) Your account

  • To access private features you may need an account. Keep your username/password secret and enable 2FA. You’re responsible for all activity on your account.

  • We can suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms or the law.

  • Shared / studio accounts must follow our verification rules. We may require re-verification at any time.

  • Chosen usernames can’t mislead, impersonate others, or violate rights.

Identity verification (uploaders): Anyone uploading/streaming must complete KYC: government-issued photo ID + selfie with ID. Submitting false info or attempting to bypass checks results in a permanent ban and may be reported to authorities.

4) Tokens & payments

  • We may offer a virtual currency (“Tokens”) for tips, private shows, and features.

  • Purchases are processed via approved payment providers; prices may vary by region/promos.

  • Tips are final and non-refundable. Refunds for technical errors only, at our discretion.

  • Auto-refill (if enabled) and balance rules are managed in Account Settings.

  • Off-platform payments/solicitations are not allowed.

5) Content & rights

You own what you create. By posting on the Platform you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable, transferable license to host, reproduce, adapt, promote, and display your content for operating and marketing the Platform.

Other Community Members who lawfully acquire your content get a personal, perpetual license to view it on the Platform. Deleting content from your account doesn’t revoke licenses already granted to others.

Prohibited content includes (not exhaustive):

  • Anything involving minors or appearing to involve minors (including simulated/role-play)

  • Non-consensual, illegal, violent, or dangerous acts

  • IP infringement; doxxing; hate or terror content

We may remove content we believe violates law or these Terms.

Recording: Independent Broadcasters can allow recording of private shows; recordings (if enabled) are for personal use only and must not be shared or resold. Broadcasters can disable recordings in settings.

6) Conduct on the Platform

Be lawful and respectful. No harassment, threats, hate speech, scams, impersonation, hacking, scraping, automated bots/crawlers, or attempts to bypass controls. We may monitor, moderate, and enforce these rules and cooperate with law enforcement.

7) Safety & privacy

We use verification, moderation, and automated detection to protect users, but no online system is perfect. Use caution when sharing personal info; off-platform interactions are at your own risk and we typically cannot help with disputes that occur off the Platform.

Your data is handled per our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy (incorporated by reference).

8) Intellectual property (DMCA/notice)

We respect IP rights. If you believe your work appears on the Platform without permission, send a takedown notice to:

If your content was removed in error, you may submit a counter-notice to the same address with legally required details.

Repeat infringement may lead to account termination.

9) Termination

You may close your account anytime via settings or by contacting support. We may suspend or terminate your access at any time for violations or risk reasons. After termination, you may lose access to your account and stored content. We are not obliged to retain or restore it.

10) Disclaimers & limitation of liability

The Platform is provided “as is” and “as available.” We don’t promise uninterrupted or error-free service or compatibility with your device.

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

  • We are not liable for indirect, special, incidental, punitive, or consequential damages.

  • Our total liability to you is capped at the lesser of (a) your unused virtual currency if we discontinue it or you cancel, or (b) USD $250.

Your sole remedy if dissatisfied is to stop using the Platform.

11) Disputes, governing law, venue

These Terms are governed by the laws of [choose: e.g., England & Wales / Republic of Cyprus / State of California].

12) Links to other sites

We may update these Terms at any time. The current version will always be posted at https://www.chatterbate.net/terms with the “Last updated” date. Continuing to use the Site means you accept the updated Terms.
